Note for small businesses on flat tariffs* in Queensland, NSW and SA – Default Market Offer:
Changes to rates are applicable from 1 July 2020 for small businesses on flat tariffs** in Queensland, NSW and SA:

From 1 July 2020, your Default Market Offer (“DMO”) tariffs changed in accordance with the new Default Market Offer tariffs announced by the Australian Energy Regulator. The new Default Market Offer tariffs applies to both flat tariff solar and non-solar customers. New rates that apply will be available from 1 July below.

* A tariff that includes a fixed daily supply charge, and a variable charge reflecting the volume (in kWh) of electricity consumed.
** Limited circumstance such as deemed customer retail arrangement.

The Standard Retail Contract terms and conditions incorporates the 2020 ACT Consumer Protection Code which is applicable to ACT customers only. The 2020 ACT Consumer Protection Code detailed obligations on all retailers on selected Guaranteed Service Levels and associated rebate levels. All other terms and conditions remain the same.

Note for small businesses on Standard Retail Contracts in Victoria:

The Victorian Default Offer for customers on standard retail contracts were varied from 1 January 2021. The rates can be viewed here.

The Victorian Default Offer in respect of flat tariffs have been varied due to the ‘Victorian Default Offer Price Determination 2021’ made by the Essential Services Commission of Victoria. All other Victorian Standing offer tariffs have been varied in respect of the ‘Victorian Default Offer compliant maximum annual bill’.

Information on the Victorian Default Offer rates (for standard retail contract customers) will also be accessible below from our Energy Fact Sheets from 1 January 2021.

All amounts specified i.e. standing offer prices and other amounts payable under this contract, are inclusive of GST.

Please note that Shell Energy does not currently retail to residential customers.
