Shell Energy powers Women in Digital awards

Nominations are open for the annual Women in Digital (WID) Awards and this year Shell Energy Australia is proud to be a bronze level sponsor and a named category sponsor for the Data Leader of the Year.

Women in Digital (WID) is a national organisation passionate about creating an inclusive space for women in digital and technology, with a key focus on improving gender diversity in the industry.

Each year, Women in Digital celebrate the amazing women working within the digital industries through the Women in Digital Awards.

Shell Energy is proud to support Women in Digital, providing community connections, professional development opportunities and access to a diverse talent pool for career paths.

Shell Energy Chief Information Officer Shannon Henwood said he was proud to empower more female talent to embrace the rewarding and challenging careers offered by STEM disciplines.

“Shell Energy supports a culture of diversity and inclusion, and one where equal opportunity is provided to everyone,” Mr Henwood said.

“We recognise that this is especially important in STEM fields where we want to encourage more women to study and pursue careers.

“We champion improving diversity in digital technology and in working with Women in Digital we are providing a platform for women to see the full range of STEM options that are available to them.”

Nominations close on July 31, 2023. To learn more about the Women in Digital Awards, head to awards.womenindigital.org/awards.
