Our Standard Retail Contract and prices are available in limited circumstances1 for small customers in Queensland.

Note for small businesses on flat tariffs2 in Queensland – Default Market Offer

Changes to rates are applicable from 1 July 2023 for small businesses on flat tariffs2 in Queensland.

From 1 July 2023, your Default Market Offer (“DMO”) tariffs changed in accordance with the new Default Market Offer tariffs announced by the Australian Energy Regulator. The new Default Market Offer tariffs applies to both flat tariff solar and non-solar customers. New rates that apply from 1 July 2023 are below.

1 Limited circumstance such as deemed customer retail arrangement.

2 A tariff that includes a fixed daily supply charge, and a variable charge reflecting the volume (in kWh) of electricity consumed.

Note for small businesses on Standard Retail Contracts in Victoria

The Victorian Default Offer for customers on standard retail contracts will be varied from 1 July 2023.

Single Rates (Domestic and Small Business), Single Rates with Controlled Load (Domestic) and Two Period Time of Use Tariffs (Domestic and Small Business) for each distribution area have been varied in accordance with the Victorian Default Offer. All other Domestic and Small Business tariffs for each distribution area have been varied in accordance with the Victorian Default Offer compliant maximum annual bill amounts.

Information on the Victorian Default Offer rates (for standard retail contract customers) from 1 July 2023 is accessible below from our Energy Fact Sheets.

All amounts specified i.e. default offer prices and other amounts payable under our standard retail contract are inclusive of GST.

Please note that Shell Energy does not currently retail to residential customers.

The Standard Retail Contract terms and conditions incorporates the 2020 ACT Consumer Protection Code which is applicable to ACT customers only. The 2020 ACT Consumer Protection Code details obligations for all retailers on selected Guaranteed Service Levels and associated rebate levels. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
