Shell Energy’s gas retail offering expands to Western Australian market

Shell Energy has expanded its gas retail offering to commercial and industrial business customers in Western Australia.

Executive General Manager for B2B Retail, Steve Rogers said West Australian customers would benefit from more choice and competition. “Our entry into the Western Australian market will provide commercial and industrial customers with greater choice and competition, while giving them access to a broader range of energy retailing solutions from a trusted provider,” Mr Rogers said.

Customers benefit from a high level of attention to detail from local dedicated account managers and an operations team focussed on excellence, providing a smooth and dependable day-to-day experience.

“Our main goal is always to deliver exceptional value and service. Every single one of our customers has a dedicated account manager, which is not the norm in our industry, and means you’re always dealing with a person who knows your business. This is a cornerstone of our customer service proposition,” says Mr Rogers.

The launch of business gas retailing on the west coast builds on the successful launches in Victoria and New South Wales in 2021, followed by Queensland and South Australia in 2022.

Gas retailing services in WA are available to large businesses that consume more than 10 terajoules (TJ) each year, and more than 5 TJ in the Eastern states.

Shell Energy is actively quoting in WA for gas products and services to customers from 1 January.
